Dear Parents and Carers
'Wrong Trousers Day' is here again!! This is the day that we help to raise money for Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation. This organisation raises money to improve the quality of life for children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK. 'Wrong Trousers Day' is on 23rd June this year which is Next FRIDAY!
Although it was only created in 2003, the Foundation has funded projects in 23 hospitals and hospices in cities throughout the UK. They have provided such things as landscaped gardens, family accommodation and specialist technology. Last year we helped them by raising £130 when many of us came to school in the wrong trousers and we had a fashion parade and laughed at each other.
This year I would like us to raise even more and so I am asking for your support in this way. Please send your son or daughter to school on Friday wearing some 'wrong trousers' and bringing at least a pound to pay for the privilege. You are very welcome to come and join the assembly at 3.00 pm but do wear the wrong trousers, won't you?
There may be prizes for the weirdest, funniest, prettiest and most outrageous wrong trousers so feel free to be adventurous!
Thank you for your cooperation.
Merryll Wheatley.
